Those people who have diabetes or are taking steroids should also have regular checkups to rule out any problems in the eye.
Many people lose their vision because of accidents that could have been avoided by following good eye care practices. Always supervise children when playing with fireworks as this is a common reason for eye injury. As far as possible don’t let pointed things in your child’s hands as they can damage either their own or someone else’s eyes unknowingly.
